Vehicles we accept in Houston

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Lone Star Wheels, we proudly accept a wide variety of vehicles, whether they’re drivable or not. From cars and trucks to motorcycles and RVs, your donation plays a crucial role in supporting our mission to connect Houston residents with essential benefits programs. No matter the condition or age of your vehicle, we're here to help transform your unused asset into vital resources for our community. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Donated cars and sedans are typically sold at auction to the highest bidder. The proceeds are then utilized to fund our benefits-research service, helping local families access programs that support them in times of need.

With Houston's bustling urban life, many residents have an extra car they no longer need. Donating a car helps others while maximizing its value.

Pickup Trucks
2000-present

Pickup trucks often fetch good prices at auction, with many being sold to contractors or tradespeople. This revenue supports our local benefit programs for residents.

In Houston, pickups are essential for both work and leisure. Your donation can help provide necessary benefits to local workers and families.

SUVs & Crossovers
2005-present

SUVs and crossovers are often resold for family use or adventure. The proceeds contribute to our mission of connecting residents with critical support services.

Families in Houston appreciate the versatility of SUVs, making them popular choices for donation, aiding others in their mobility and stability.

Motorcycles
2000-present

Motorcycles can be auctioned or sold for parts, generating funds that directly support our local programs for families in need.

With the warm Texas weather, many Houstonians embrace motorcycle culture. Your donation can help sustain our community's welfare initiatives.

RVs & Campers
1990-present

RVs and campers are ideal for resale at auction or for reconstruction, with proceeds funding local benefit research for residents.

Houston's vibrant camping culture means that your RV donation can help foster family connections and adventures while benefiting those in need.

Boats
1990-present

Boats are often sold to enthusiasts or converted for parts. The generated funds support our outreach programs in helping local families.

With nearby lakes and waterways, boat donations are a direct way to support community initiatives while getting rid of vessels no longer being used.

Commercial Vehicles
2000-present

Commercial vehicles, when donated, are usually sold to small businesses or entrepreneurs. Proceeds help us fund community services for the underprivileged.

In Houston, many small businesses rely on commercial vehicles. Your donation can help keep these businesses thriving while aiding the community.

Non-running Vehicles
Any age

Non-running vehicles can be recycled or sold for parts, providing valuable funding to support our local programs and services.

Many residents in Houston have vehicles that are past their prime. Your non-running vehicle can be a step towards helping others access vital benefits.

Condition guide

At Lone Star Wheels, we welcome vehicles in various conditions, including running and non-running vehicles. A running vehicle typically has a clear title and can be easily driven away, making it a straightforward donation process. However, we also accept non-running vehicles, which can be towed and either recycled or sold for parts. This flexibility ensures that no vehicle goes to waste and that your donation can still make a significant impact.

It’s important to note that vehicles with salvage titles may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on their condition. If your vehicle has been rebuilt or reconstructed, it can still qualify for donation, but we will need more information about its history. Our team is here to help you navigate the donation process, regardless of the condition of your vehicle.
