At $5,000, expect to fund over 700 meals for homebound seniors or more than 1,600 meals in community settings.
How we vet recipient partners
At Lone Star Wheels, we prioritize accountability and quality in the programs we support. We vet our partner nonprofits by ensuring they are contracted with Area Agencies on Aging, comply with federal and state accountability standards, and are members of the Meals on Wheels America network. Furthermore, we ensure that they meet the Older Americans Act Title III-C nutrition standards, have no or short waiting lists, and provide essential services to our community’s most vulnerable seniors.

When you donate your vehicle to Lone Star Wheels, you can be assured that 70-80% of the gross proceeds from the auction—after towing and processing costs—go directly to our partner organizations. These funds are then allocated based on program ratios, ensuring that your contribution supports the most critical needs of seniors in our community, including meal delivery and safety checks.
