Condition & logistics
Running vs. Not Running
We accept motorcycles in any condition, whether they’re cruising down the highway or parked in the garage with a dead battery. Your donation helps others, regardless of the bike's current state.
Title Issues
Ensure the title is signed in the back with the odometer reading. If you’ve misplaced it, don’t fret; we can guide you through the steps to obtain a duplicate title in Texas.
Storage and Pickup Logistics
Not sure how to get your bike to us? We provide hassle-free pickup services across Houston. Whether it's at your home, a storage unit, or even a buddy's garage—we'll make it work!
Title transfer & paperwork
In Texas, transferring the title of your motorcycle is straightforward. You’ll need to fill out the Texas title transfer application and provide proof of identity. Make sure the title is signed over to Lone Star Wheels, including the odometer reading. If you're not able to sign in person, a notary can help finalize everything. Don’t forget to return any license plates. We’ll guide you through each step to ensure a smooth process.
Tax deduction for this donation
Donating your motorcycle can also come with a nice tax perk! Depending on its sale value, you might typically expect a deduction in the range of $500 to $5,000. When we sell your bike, you’ll receive IRS Form 1098-C, which verifies your contribution for tax purposes. So not only are you feeling good about donating, but you could also save some bucks come tax time!
